How We Source Our Data

Like you, we searched for data on online slots. And, like you, we found a hundred different "casino reviewers" giving a hundred different answers.

Since we didn't know which number to trust, we started gathering the data ourselves. Every number on this site comes from a primary source that we've verified.

Primary Sources

Whenever possible, we pull data directly from:

  • Official paperwork & gaming license certifications — regulatory filings and third-party audit reports submitted to licensing authorities.
  • Publisher's official site — game specifications published by the studio that built the game. This data is provided for casino operators in marketing kits and technical manuals. In some cases, we've even requested quotes from the publisher — contingent, of course, on seeing the raw numbers!

When Primary Sources Aren't Available

If official data isn't published or we can't locate the certification paperwork, we do it the hard way: we run a minimum of 100,000 spins and capture the results ourselves. This gives us a statistically meaningful sample to derive RTP and other game characteristics from actual play data.
